TWO THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT IT: It's basically a smaller version of a sunflower, so what could be better? Otherwise known as a "swamp" sunflower, it's native and looks great as a border, or in a meadow.
LOOKS GREAT WITH: Phlox, Russian Sage, Miscanthus
small(er) version of the sunflower that is native to North America is sometimes known as the "swamp" sunflower because It does really well in moist sunny areas and grows up to 3'-6' in full sun . These are especially great in a bed or border because they bloom for a longer time than the traditional sunflower, which are short lived and super big. Look at how happy they are...looks like a group of happy, smiling faces. Blooms in late summer to early fall.
