THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT IT: This deciduous tree is quite elegant especially in late March, early April when rose like purple flowers appear lining each branch before the foliage comes, giving it the most distinctive and gorgeous silhouette. It also tolerates a lot, like Black Walnut trees, deer, and compacted or clay-ey soil.
